Kim Kardashian dubbed 'tone deaf' after telling women ‘get your f**king a** up and work’

Kim Kardashian has received backlash after urging women to “get your f**king ass up and work” – a comment that has led to the star being branded as “tone deaf”.

Speaking to American magazine Variety, the TV star and business woman opened up about working hard and making a name for yourself – with her comments leading to a huge backlash on social media.

Kim, who owns business SKIMS which has an estimated worth of $3.2billion, spoke of the work she’s put into building the company, saying: “It’s a full-time job. Nothing comes easy. You really, really have to work really hard at it.”

Addressing the misconception that she’s famous for being famous, Kim simply said: “Who gives a f**k,” before adding: “We focus on the positive. We work our a**es off. If that’s what you think, then sorry.

“We just don’t have the energy for that. We don’t have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives – and hey, we made it. I don’t know what to tell you.

“With all respect, and with love, I’m not, like, being a b***h.”

But one comment that really riled fans up was when she said: “I have the best advice for women in business, get your f**king a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

Twitter has since exploded after the star ignited discussion – with many people taking to the social networking platform to air their views and frustrations over Kim’s latest comment.

“I wish I was born rich so I could be self-made,” said one user, while another penned: “I love when people who were born to obscenely rich, highly networked and well connected parents pontificate about importance of work.”

A third person then tweeted: “Kim Kardashian telling women in business to get their a**es up and work the day after International Women’s Day has to be the biggest joke of the year.”

A fourth person said: “Yes Kim, people are tired of working 30+ hours a week to earn 1/920 of what you get by doing literally nothing and signing your name to a product someone else developed.”

While a fifth fumed: “Love Kim Kardashian berating women who don’t want to ‘work’ when she was born into high society in LA and benefited greatly from the privilege that provided the platform for her to continue poaching from Black women originators. You just can’t make this sh*t up!”

And a sixth branded the star “tone deaf” and said: “Kim Kardashian Davidson didn’t realise how tone deaf that was that she said? In this economy?”

This comes as the Kardashian family gear up for their massive TV return.

Hulu has now officially announced that new show The Kardashians will hit the streaming service on April 14.
