Kim Kardashian is reportedly battling new sex tape fears, as the reality TV star frets one of her exes could release more racy footage without her consent.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has allegedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars hiring lawyers to keep the footage – which she fears could come from ex Ray J – from leaking.
Ray featured with Kim in the infamous sex tape shot almost two decades ago when she was just 22, and could make millions if he releases other recordings.
With Kim in a relatively new relationship with Pete Davidson after her divorce from Kanye West, it makes sense she wants to protect that romance – as well as her four kids, whose ages range from two to eight years old.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Kim knows that Ray J made other tapes of them together. Some of the footage will be incredibly intimate.
“She has told lawyers, ‘Over my dead body is this happening again’.”
Kim was relatively out of the public eye when the tape was first released in March 2007 by Vivid Entertainment – entitled Kim Kardashian: Superstar.
Though Kim had appeared alongside Paris Hilton on The Simple Life by that point, she was still mainly known for her father’s role in the OJ Simpson trial.
Her family mounted urgent action to get rid of the tape, but it unwittingly spread across the internet after Kevin Blatt was reportedly offered the chance to buy the tape from Ray J.
It was allegedly filmed on holiday in Cabo, Mexico – with Kim later filing a lawsuit against Vivid for allegedly releasing it without permission.
However, after acquiring $5million (£3.8million) from the company alongside Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, she dropped the suit.
Kim later revealed on her reality show KUWTK that she was high on ecstasy at the time the recording was made, explaining to Scott Disick and Kendall Jenner in 2018: “I got married on ecstasy. The first time.
“I did ecstasy once and I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen.”
Disick then replied: “You were high on ecstasy when you made that sex tape?”
As Kim clarified: “Absolutely. Everyone knows it. Like, my jaw was shaking the whole time.”
Kim has previously denied the existence of a second ‘unreleased’ sex tape after reportedly finding footage.
And Ray also seemed to shut down claims as he enigmatically posted to Twitter in January: “This needs to stop. I also have kids.”
Daily Star has contacted Kim and Ray’s representatives for comment.
