Kym Marsh broke down in tears as she paid an emotional tribute to her stillborn son on BBC Morning Live.
The Coronation Street actress and former Hear’Say popstar visited the Whitworth gallery in Manchester and its Still Parents: Life After Baby Loss exhibition.
During the visit, Kym paid a tearful tribute to her stillborn son Archie.

She wiped tears from her eyes and said: “I’m so proud, so proud to have him on this wall.”
The 44-year-old actress tragically lost Archie at 21 weeks and five days into her pregnancy back in February of 2009.

“12 years. 12 years of wishing,” she wrote earlier this year.
“Wishing we had seen you open your eyes, wishing we had seen you smile, wishing we had heard you laugh, wishing we had heard your voice. Wishing I had heard you say “I love you mummy” wishing above all wishes that you were here, where you belong. Too many wishes to write down.”

She continued: “Today you should be opening gifts, laughing at silly cards people have sent, blowing out candles on the birthday cake you will eat far too much of!!”
Marsh found fame in 2001 as part of pop group Hear’Say, who were created through ITV talent show, Popstars.
She quit the band the following year and in 2006 made her debut on the cobbles. After 13 years playing Michelle Connor, she left Coronation Street in December 2019.
Kym’s parents, Pauline and Dave, recently gave an update following her father’s prostate cancer diagnosis, having appeared alongside their daughter on Morning Live.
They were informing viewers of the importance of getting your prostate checked after the 77-year-old delayed going to the doctors during the pandemic.
She told co-host Gethin Jones: “We were expecting that the cancer had spread because of the later PSA blood results. The PSA levels had risen again in his blood.

“We were just concerned at how far it had spread and whether or not they were going to be able to give him anymore treatment.
“The good news was although it has spread, it’s not gone to any of his organs so they were able to offer him another form of treatment which is called radium.”
