Daily Star has reached out to Essex Police and Lauren Goodger’s representatives for a comment, though the latter declined to provide a statement.

It comes after Lauren and her partner Charles Drury held a private family funeral for the couple’s late daughter Lorena – who was tragically pronounced dead shortly after her birth last month.

A source told The Sun how the reality star was already struggling to come to terms with her daughter’s passing before the alleged incident.

The insider told the publication: “They had a private family ceremony on Wednesday which was not publicised. It was obviously a very emotional time

“Lauren did not drink after the funeral and was trying her best to hold it together.”

Meanwhile, a police spokesperson told OK! Magazine: “Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex. Officers attended. At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries.

“A man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.”

It comes after the brunette beauty confessed that she is feeling “terrible” due to the fact that her baby bump has not shifted despite her child’s death at the beginning of July.

The TV star admitted the sensation made her body feel like her second daughter was still inside her.

Lauren delivered her newborn Lorena on July 8, however the child sadly died just moments later due to her umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Lauren said: “It should never have happened and it will be with me forever. It’s terrible, awful.

“I’ve still got a bit of a bump – this one’s not shifting. It sometimes feels like she’s still there, it’s weird. My body feels very unsettled, it’s like it’s missing a newborn.”
