Gemma Bissix is set to make a shocking return to Hollyoaks after nearly 10 years away from the Channel 4 soap.
But that’s not the only surprise for fans as she won’t be reprising her role as nasty villain Clare Devine – the daughter of notorious gangster Fraser Black.
In fact, Gemma won’t be doing any acting at all this time around as she’s decided to accept a role behind the camera as a shadow director.

The former child actress, who starred in EastEnders at the young age of 15 before moving on to Hollyoaks, has been racking up her directing skills on the theatre circuit.
She recently directed a production of Cinderella at Clacton’s Princes Theatre, which stars the likes of Britain’s Got Talent star George Sampson and pop star Cleopatra Higgins from 90s girl group Cleopatra.
She told The Sun: “I absolutely love directing. It’s incredible to have a vision and see it all come together.
“This is the second panto I have directed but last year I performed too. It’s great to be able to sit back and not have the pressure of going on stage.
“It has turned into a real passion. But I don’t think I’ll ever give up acting though… I’m too much of a show off!”
Gemma left Hollyoaks back in 2013, when her evil Clare character was killed off after being run over by Doctor Browning.
Gemma thanked fans for their support on Twitter following her exit, telling fans it was time to let other villains take the reigns.
