Leigh-Anne Pinnock signs massive solo record deal after Little Mix announcement

Leigh-Anne Pinnock has signed a massive solo record deal just months after Little Mix announced they were going on a hiatus, sources reveal.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Sun confirmed the singer songwriter has signed a bumper deal with Warner Music who also manage the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and Madonna.

Since the British girl band announced they had made the tough decision to take break from the group to pursue more independent projects, the mum-of-two has starred in high-budget rom com movie.

And that’s not all, as the 30-year-old also produced a slew of new music, some of which she included in her star-studded film Boxing Day.

The star has kicked off the new year with a bang and promises a new era for the brunette beauty who is simultaneously juggling two newborns with her busy work load.

A source close to Leigh-Anne told the publication: “A number of labels were keen to bag Leigh-Anne but Warner seemed the best fit. She’s already been in the studio working on tracks for months.

“Leigh-Anne unequivocally loves Little Mix and always will, but the truth is she’s been ready to branch out on her own for some time.”

During the popular Christmas movie, Leigh-Anne – who played the role of Georgia – performed a number of tracks including her new solo song Woman which was produced by MNEK.

The insider continued: “They wrote Woman together and it’s used in Boxing Day but they’ve not made a big song and dance about it.

“They also have other tracks that could be used for her solo career – Leigh-Anne is so talented and really wants to build on her time in Little Mix.”

The girl band first formed while taking part on X Factor in 2011 and have gone on to release six hit albums with five number one singles.

But in December, Leigh-Anne, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards decided to take some time apart from the group to explore more solo projects.

The girls broke the news with a joint statement online, which read: “We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.

Now the star is working with the same record label as Ed Sheehan and Madonna

“It’s been ten amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.

“We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour!”
