Lenny Henry has undergone a huge lifestyle overhaul, leaving him looking totally different at the NTAs last week and in recent years.
The Lord of The Rings star began his transformation in 2014, when the Sadoc actor was put on a strict diet due to being a “little bit diabetic”.
He needed to cut back on certain foods and alcohol in order to stay healthy.

Shedding a whopping three stone, Lenny has revealed that he “tries” to go to the gym and eat healthily when he can – when he’s not “consumed by work” that is.
Speaking to The Sun he revealed: “I try to work and go to the gym and eat healthy and do what everyone else does but when I’m working and writing I get so consumed by it so I do try.”
In 2018 he gave a glimpse into his healthy eating habit when he revealed the one food that he ate a lot of.
Speaking to The Mirror he said: “Well, it’s eating broccoli and not much else. I’ve also been running a lot. It has worked.”
Other reports say that Lenny follows a vegetarian diet and eats lots of greens, drinks lots of juice and does lots of walking.
In 1985 Lenny co-founded Comic Relief with screenwriter Richard Curtis in response to a huge famine in Ethiopia, Africa.
He has been presenting the BBC show ever since, and since shedding weight – fans have been in awe over his new look whenever he appears on the programme each year.
“Wow Lenny Henry looks amazing,” penned one fan.
Another went on to say: “Bloody hell Lenny Henry looks incredible!”
“Lenny Henry has lost an absolute tonne of weight… fair play like barely recognised him,” said a third.
While a fourth joked: “I hope Lenny Henry‘s impressive weight loss was for his own happiness. And not to make Premier Inn beds look massive.”
Lenny originally decided to slim down to play Godfrey, an enslaved servant in Jamaica in the three-part television adaptation of Andrea Levy’s novel The Long Song.
