Liz Hurley’s son Damien Hurley has said that his “heart is broken” after his “father figure” Shane Warne died from a suspected heart attack.
Posting a series of throwback photos of him and Shane when he was younger, Damien’s caption touched many of his followers’ hearts.
Damien took to Instagram and penned: “I’m still trying to wrap my head around this… SW [Shane Warne] was a father figure to me for most of my formative years and was truly one the best men I’ve ever known.
“My heart is broken. Thinking of and sending love to all SW’s family.”
Sending love and support to the 19-year-old model and actor, fans and friends flooded the comments.
“Just shocking and devastating. Sending love and prayers sweet heart xxx,” said one.
Another penned: “Thinking of you and @elizabethhurley1 . I’m so sorry for your loss.”
While a third added: “So sorry for your loss, it sounds like he really was a great guy.”
Shane Warne died yesterday at the age of 52 after a suspected heart attack while in Thailand.
Damien’s mum, Shane’s ex-finacée Liz Hurley paid tribute hours before Damien followed suit, when she dubbed him her “beloved Lionheart”.
Sharing a set of throwback snaps, Liz penned: “I feel like the sun has gone behind a cloud forever.
“RIP my beloved Lionheart @shanewarne23.”
The photos that she shared with her followers were incredibly sweet and showed a different side to the former couple as they shared special moments, kisses and happy times.
Fans and friends were quick to flock to the comments section of the post, with many offering support and love to Liz.
One person penned: “Larger than life, will be so sadly missed not just by us Aussies but people worldwide.”
While another said: “A lovely tribute.”
The sporting star died on March 4, 2022, with the news confirmed by Warnes’ Management on Thursday afternoon.
