Strictly Come Dancing star Judi Love left Good Morning Britain viewers baffled after she suggested an intriguing way to tackle body odour during the heatwave.
The Loose Women star – who starred on Strictly in 2021 alongside Graziano Di Prima – appeared on the ITV breakfast offering to discuss her new show Work In Progress.
However, it didn’t take long for the topic of conversation to change to the current heatwave we are experiencing in the UK.

Talking to hosts Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls Judi, 42, left viewers feeling revolted when she discussed her hack for tackling excessive body odour during the soaring temperatures this week.
Bringing props to the studio of deodorant and a bowl of sweet potatoes, Judi set about demonstrating how the items could help.
Ranvir said: “Now most people have a croissant for breakfast, but you appear to have brought a bowl full of sweet potato and some deodorant?”
Judi replied: “For those who are going out into the sun, please wear your deodorant because it’s hard for us, especially when we’re in close proximity with each other.
“And this sweet potato, you can boil it, make it cool and put it under your armpit if you’ve got an odour issue.”
Baffled, Ranvir exclaimed: “What?!”
Ed then queried: “And have those been under your armpits yet or…?”
Judie then explained the “old school method” further adding: “No! You have to boil it, mash it, let it cool a little bit, just put it under your armpit and let it draw out the stench!”
Amused, Ranvir complimented the comedienne: “Can I just say, it’s an education, Judi. Everything you say is an education, it’s a joy to have you in.”
However, viewers weren’t so easily pleased and took to Twitter to air their disgust at the method.
One wrote: “#GMB did Judi Love just recommend putting mashed sweet potato under your armpits to help with body odour???”
A second added: “What ????? Don’t forget to put sweet spuds under your armpits…”
A third ranted: “As usual Judi Love talking a load of [bleep], She could be responsible for people with odour issues ending up in A&E with burns in their armpits, caused by hot sweet potato!”
A fourth disgruntled social media user posted: “What the [bleep] is this on @GMB sweet potatoes under your arms. Is this news?”
