Loose Women's Linda Robson offers to house 'homeless' Boris Johnson after resignation

Linda Robson has offered to house a “homeless” Boris Johnson following his resignation.

The Loose Women star appeared on Friday’s episode (July 8) of the ITV show alongside Jane Moore, Frankie Bridge and Kelle Bryan.

While discussing the news that Boris Johnson had resigned as Tory Party leader and plans to step down as Prime Minister in the Autumn, Linda leapt to Boris’ defence.

She also offered him a bedroom in her house following his exit from Downing Street.

Linda said: “I’m a fan of Boris’ and I’m really sad.

“I’m very sad that he’s going and I do have two bedrooms in my house Boris if you’re looking for somewhere to live – because he’s now homeless as well, ain’t he?

“He’s got nowhere to live anymore.

“He’s being chucked out of Downing Street so where is he going to go?”

Linda’s comments were met with criticism from Loose Women fans on Twitter.

One fan wrote: “Maybe Linda could offer her two spare rooms to someone who actually needs a roof over their head.”

Another replied: “Let it go Linda, he has gone!”

Linda’s Loose Women co-star Frankie also said she was “nervous” about what will happen in the wake of Boris’ departure.

Meanwhile, Kelle said Boris stepping down was the “right thing to do”.

Frankie said: “Who knows if [the next Tory Party leader] is going to be any better?

“And, what happens in this interim?”

The heated discussion followed Loose Women being cancelled on Thursday to make way for coverage of Boris’ resignation.

Lorraine was also pulled from air to make way for the developing story while This Morning aired as normal.

Loose Women airs from 12.30 pm on weekdays on ITV.
