Lorraine Kelly left flustered as Lewis Capaldi offers her his 'seven inches'

ITV star Lorraine Kelly was left red faced after singer Lewis Capaldi joined her on her early morning show and made a cheeky suggestion.

After a segment about the Queen’s death with former Prime Minister Theresa May, Lorraine welcomed the musician onto the show to promote his new single Forget Me.

In the music video, he parodied Wham’s Club Tropicana and could be seen reclining topless on a beach, riding a horse and wearing a pilot’s uniform.

Lorraine chuckled at the silly clip and thanked him for “raising the nation’s spirits” and Lewis noted that it was a “bad week to release a single”.

Before he left the Lorraine set, he wanted to give Kelly a present and took out a fresh vinyl.

He offered her his “seven inches” but before Lorraine had a chance to register the gift, he admitted he had placed a Bastille record in the sleeve instead of his own, which left Lorraine rolling her eyes.

Lewis confirmed that he will “be on tour at some point” before Lorraine asked him to “come back and talk to her”.

As he gave her his passing gift, he said: “I’ve got you a gift. Seven inches of me. My seven inch…record. Sorry. That’s actually a Bastille record so please don’t open it! Bit of a mistake on our part, but there we go. Thank you very much.”

Fans were left in tears after Lewis’ hilarious appearance and took to Twitter to address his humour.

One wrote: “Lewis Capaldi on Lorraine was f****** brilliant.”

Another added: “I only saw one problem with that interview, it wasn’t long enough. Lewis Capaldi is a national treasure,” before signing off with a laughing face emoji.

An eagle eyed fan joked that Lorraine was talking to him “like a bomb that might go off”, while one simply called him “honest, refreshing, funny and a breath of fresh air”.

The Scottish duo took a look at his album cover, which showed him in the ocean with his eyes closed, and Lewis made a joke that he could be taking “a lovely little pee”.

A tickled Lorraine confirmed that “it does” before Lewis said that he “had tilted his head back and just let loose”.
