Lorraine viewers distracted as Andrea McLean makes ITV comeback after Loose Women exit

Lorraine viewers were left distracted as former Loose Women host Andrea McLean returned to ITV following her exit from the daytime show.

The TV star, 52, shocked fans when she announced that she was leaving Loose Women after 13 years.

Her final episode on the lunchtime programme aired in December 2020 and she made her welcomed return to ITV on Monday morning.

Andrea appeared on Lorraine to promote her new book, You Just Need To Believe It.

Conversation quickly turned to Loose Women and how she has no regrets in leaving the show.

As Lorraine Kelly quizzed Andrea on life since leaving her television career behind her, viewers couldn’t help but praise her youthful beauty.

While a third social media user said: “Lovely to see Andrea on the TV again.”

Andrea recently opened up about why she left Loose Women.

It was revealed she had given in her resignation with a bombshell email, telling the Sunday Mirror’s Notebook magazine: “I emailed my bosses. I just said I needed to follow my heart.

“I was sat in the car. I had it all written and ready to go,” she said.

And she’s finally admitted the real reason why – she’s just completed her training to become a qualified life coach.

She’s joining her husband Nick Feeney in her new endeavour, and says the lovebirds have both been training over the past few months over Zoom.

“I quit my job to do something I’m really passionate about, which is helping women change their mindsets so they can feel better about themselves,” she told HELLO! magazine.

“We’ve just about finished [the training]. We’ll officially be accredited Life Coaches. It’s really great.”

She added: “There’s this big thing of imposter syndrome, of ‘Who am I to do this?’ I’m from an age of ‘But you haven’t been to school to learn this!’ so we’ve been training for the past few months over Zoom.”

The brunette beauty said she was “nervous-cited” – a blend of nervous and excited – about her own leap into the unknown as she quit the ITV programme, but she’s since hit the ground running.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9am
