Lottie Moss accidentally sets fire to herself while shooting sultry music video

Lottie Moss has revealed she accidentally set fire to herself whilst shooting a music video that could have gone horribly wrong.

The stunning model, 24, was starring in The Kooks’ new song Jesse James when her coat sleeve touched a candle on set – and the garment went up in flames.

Speaking on the scary moment her coat sleeve caught alight, Lottie said although the flame wasn’t huge, it was a “crazy” incident.

Lottie said: “It wasn’t even a big flame but my sleeve went up.

“Everyone was like, ‘Oh my God, are you OK?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m fine’.

She added: “It was crazy.”

Lottie, who is the half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss, said she had buckets of fun filming the music video and has been a fan of the indie rock band since she was younger.

She said: “It was so fun to be involved in this, I’ve never been able to live out my main character dream before so this was really cool for me to do!

“I have loved The Kooks since I was younger so that made it even more special!”

Lottie also revealed her mum Inger, 59, loved the video and thought her daughter had never looked better.

Moss added: “My mum loved it.

“She thought it was so cool and she was like, ‘This is the best you’ve looked’.”

The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard said he was “thrilled” to bring in Lottie for the music video, who he said brought the song to life.

Luke said: “Really excited to release ‘Jessie James’, it’s a song about not always trying to prove yourself and losing the ego.

“We are so thrilled to have the amazing Lottie Moss to bring the song to life in her retro future bedroom floating through space, she really elevated the euphoria of the song with her performance! Check it out now,”

Lottie recently opened up about her recent rehab stint, as well as smoking cannabis.

She said that her time away was for “separate issues” including her mental health.

The model also revealed marijuana helps her to relax and cope with stress.

She said: “My tolerance with weed went straight down when I went to rehab but I’m so much better.

“I was very depressed and very unhappy but I’m so much happier now. I’m feeling better about life.”

The Kooks’ album 10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark will be released on July 22, and you can watch the music video for Jesse James here.
