Louise Minchin, 53, bares toned legs in swimsuit as she braves freezing temperatures

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin has conquered another physical challenge after she learnt how to free dive under ice in the heart of Finland.

The 53-year-old star took to her Instagram account on Monday (March 21) evening to share the snaps she took from the once in a life time experience which she shared with some of her friends as she confessed she needed time to recover from the nail-biting temperatures.

After leaving the depths of Gwrych Castle behind her during last year’s edition of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, the mum-of-two decided to challenge herself with another physically demanding hobby.

In the collage of snaps she shared from the experience, the blonde bombshell could be seen wearing a woolly bobble hat on top of her head to help preserve the heat in the chilly weather.

The TV presenter looked incredible as she submerged into the ice-cold water in a long-sleeved swimming costume which left her long legs vulnerable to the elements.

Still managing to smile her way through the challenge, Louise told her 128,000 followers: “What an extraordinary experience.

“To be persuaded to get into freezing water with the awesome ice-swimming queens, what a stunning country Finland is, an incredible place to learn to free dice under ice.

“I will tell you more when I have recovered from the exhilaration!” she confessed.

Another added: “I am well impressed. I’d love to do this sometime. That’s if I’m brave enough [snowflake emoji].”

A third asked: “Bit cold was it [three cry laughing emojis] looking stunning as always!”, while one user noted: “That looks daunting. You’re very brave to do that.”
