Brunette beauty Amber Beckford has been confirmed as an official contestant for this year’s Love Island.
The nation’s favourite dating show is returning for its eighth series and there is a host of sexy new singletons looking for love.
24-year-old Amber, who is a nanny from London, is next in line to head to the famous villa because she feels like “it’s the right time.”
Asked why she thinks now is the perfect time, she said: “I think it just feels like the right time. This year it definitely feels like it’s two feet in. I feel like now I’m most definitely ready, and wanting to look for a boyfriend.”
Amber is hopeful that she will bring some fun to the villa, but admitted she’s not sure how her opinionated nature will go down with other contestants.
She said: “Hopefully fun! Have some chit chat with the girls. I can definitely be opinionated so I’m not sure how that’s going to go down.”
The 24-year-old went on to admit that her patience differs between adults and children because of her occupation as a nanny.
“As I work with kids I have patience with kids but adults, they annoy me!,” the bombshell admitted.
One thing that won’t impress the London-based beauty in the villa is when guys “show off.”
“I don’t like guys that show off,” she confessed, before saying: “I don’t like flashy, showy-offy guys – just have a personality and make me laugh.”
Speaking about her previous experience with a “flashy” guy, the nanny explained: “There was this one guy and he was trying to purposefully show off his car keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant!”
Amber joins the group of stars already announced for the 2022 series including Paige Thorne, Dami Hope, Liam Llewellyn, Indiyah Polack, Tasha Ghouri, Gemma Owen, David Scanclimenti, Ikenna Ekwonna and Andrew Le Page.
