Love Island Gemma Owen's mum slams 'bullying' of Tasha as Luca and Dami apologise

Love Island star Gemma Owen’s mum Louise has rushed to defend Tasha Ghouri following last night’s episode.

The 23-year-old dancer and model was recently left in tears tears after finding herself in the bottom three following a public vote.

Since then, Tasha has been criticised by some of her fellow islanders – including Luca Bish and Dami Hope.

During last night’s show (July 19), the pair decided to pie Tasha for her previous actions towards boyfriend Andrew Le Page.

In the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, Dami revealed he chose Tasha because she usually “gets away with a lot of stuff”.

Meanwhile, Luca said: “I could give you a list, but I’ll let it go for today. It’s just a game.”

Following the show, Gemma’s mum Louise was quick to make her feelings clear on the whole situation.

Louise – who is married to former footballer Michael Owen – showed her support to Tasha on her Instagram profile.

Commenting on a recent snap, she said: “I hope Tasha is ok, I feel it’s close to bullying now which is so sad to see.”

It comes after Tasha was left visibly upset following last night’s brutal game.

Unfortunately for the dancer, she got a pie in the face from Luca, Dami and Davide Sanclimenti.

Later on, Tasha was left crying as she felt the lads had gone too far in the game, believing it wasn’t just banter and they had been too harsh with their reasons.

Angry fans were fuming over how Tasha was treated and flocked to Twitter to air their frustrations.

One fan moaned: “It’s so uncomfortable to watch them pie Tasha over and over… just pick someone else for the hell of it please.”

A second said: “The pie challenge was so awful with them boys and the nasty things they said to Tasha they’re like nasty school kids Luca and Dami to go.”

A third added: “Tasha already thinks she’s hated by the public and it knocked her confidence for all the boys inside the villa to pie her as well.”

A fourth commented: “I’m feeling bad for Tasha. One of those boys could have chosen to pie someone else just because she’s literally had so much pie in her face already no?”

Fans had already complained about the boys behaviour during the explosive Movie Night episodes on Sunday and Monday night (July 18).
