Former Love Island star Amber Gill has lunged to the defence of Michael Owen’s family after row broke out between his daughter and Luca Bish.
On Tuesday, the fishmonger and the 19-year-old dressage rider clashed horns during the Mile High themed challenge.
The argument sparked a lot of attention online, with fans of the show calling out Luca as they branded him a “red flag”.

Amber, who was previously crowned the 2019 winner, had nothing but sympathy for Gemma’s famous mum and dad.
After catching up on yesterday’s episode, the Geordie-lass took to her platform to offer up support to the Owen’s.
She penned: “It must be so hard for Gemma’s family watching a guy speak to her that way #loveisland.”
The friction started after the girls were required to sexily prepare the boys for take-off by issuing a full safety briefing and offering refreshments while dressed as a scantily-clad member of the cabin crew for the challange.
It became clear to everyone watching during Gemma’s stint that Luca was less than pleased as she licked some of the boys – like Paige Thorne had done previously too.
After the fun was over, the football star’s eldest daughter fumed: “You can sit here and say you’re not in a mood, you are in a mood. When I came up to you in the challenge, you pushed me off.”
Defending himself, Luca insisted it was “just banter” with Gemma hitting back: “It wasn’t banter.”
Luca later accused her of being the girl “who went for it most” – accepting he had been annoyed, he told Gemma that he “didn’t like watching the girl I love do that to other boys”.
After the pair had failed to reach a conclusion, Luca stormed off while removing his microphone and equipment.
Further on in the programme the twosome again tried to patch things up but again couldn’t seem to see eye-to-eye.
After much public outrage, Luca’s family took to social media to defend his actions with a statement that was posted to his Instagram story.
They said: 9/10 weeks of no contact with family. It’s a crazy intense environment where emotions are heightened.
“Learning to have disagreements and resolve them it is part of all successful relationships. Society preaches men not to bottle things up and to open up?
“So proud of how vulnerable and in touch with his emotions he’s been. Nothing but real.
“First to admit if he’s being a little “f**k. But really don’t feel he’s done anything wrong here at all. Would do anything to hug him right now.”
