Love Island stars tease Laura Whitmore replacement after host quits ITV show

Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows hint at Love Island presenting role after Laura Whitmore’s dramatic exit last month.

The loved-up couple appeared on the hugely popular ITV2 dating series last year but the dynamic duo was pipped to the post by Millie Court and Liam Reardon.

Since they left the Spanish villa, the pair have gone from strength to strength and the former professional footballer even set up his own podcast, titled Fancy A Chat, which has welcomed a slew of Love Island stars on in the past few months.

As they continue to progress both as a couple and in their showbiz careers, the TV hunk has confessed that he has even set his eyes on the newly available presenting role on the reality show ahead of the winter series this December.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star at the launch of the AMÀRE Vodka event, the podcast host admitted that he and Chloe would make an impressive TV duo on the show.

When asked who he thinks should take over the presenting role from the 37-year-old Irish belle, he confessed: “Me. I’m gonna change everything up as well if they’re gonna let a boy host it.

“Me. they’re gonna change everything up and let a boy host it. You know what, we’ll be a couple, me and Chloe are gonna do it. We’ll be like, ‘Here’s the new bombshell – enjoy it!'”

Toby went on to gush over how well the mum-of-one did on the show despite being hounded with cruel messages from trolls online.

He added: “I feel like Laura got a lot of hate but you know what? Laura – obviously she was there for my season – I think she’s done good.

“She did a great job when I was there, I really enjoyed the way that she presented and all that but I just feel like if it’s time for her to move on then it’s time for her to move on.

“She got a lot of stick and, to be honest, I respect her a lot that she could deal with it because I don’t think I could deal with the amount that she got and she got a lot of stick.”

It comes after the podcast host shared his surprise at how much of his argument with Hugo Hammond aired on the reality show.

Toby confessed that after he left the villa he watched back the tense argument between him and the P.E teacher and he was surprised at how much of their tense feud was aired.

The pair locked horns last year after Toby ditched Chloe during the recoupling as he got to know the latest bombshell in the villa, at which point Hugo coupled up with his pal as he gave a passionate speech about the sportsman’s wrongdoings.

Although the pair fought it out and managed to put their differences aside onscreen, the Islander has revealed that there was much more to be seen offscreen.

He said: “I think the stuff with me and Hugo – just bringing it all up again it’s silly isn’t it – but that whole interaction, the anger, it really was anger.

“That was quite funny watching that back. Now, I don’t chat to him, he don’t chat to me – who knows maybe we’ll have him on the podcast.”
