Love Island star AJ Bunker has revealed some of her biggest show regrets and TV secrets.
The 29-year-old TV star spoke exclusively to the Daily Star about her upcoming celebrity boxing match and her Love Island experience.
AJ had recently announced that she had some of her facial fillers dissolved after initially getting them before going on the show last year.
She said: “Do you know what, when I watched myself back I didn’t feel like myself. I did it out of panic and I over-analysed things and thought I had to look a certain way.
“So, when I came out, I was like ‘this isn’t me’ so I had my cheeks dissolved, and now the other day I had my chin dissolved too, so I’ve got a little bum chin now.”
Explaining what advice she has for the upcoming series’ contestants, she added: “Be yourself be ruthless and go in there for you and don’t give in to the pressures of having to look like anyone else, don’t change yourself, that’s the main thing really.
AJ, formerly known as Andrea, also revealed the most shocking parts of her Love Island experience.
She admitted: “For me, I came out with a name change, I was never AJ before my name completely changed but that’s fine.
“It was knowing there is 24 hours of filming and conversations but you don’t know what will be shown, and I guess it’s just what perception and side of you will be shown too. Along with the narrative and storylines.
“There’s so much that goes on, there were other guys that I was talking to, but that was never shown. But I guess they can only do a certain amount in the day.”
She continued: “The villa is much smaller, I also didn’t realise how controlled it would be, when you can and can’t go to the gym or when you have to do whatever, and not knowing the time and just weird stuff. It was a great experience I would do it all again if I could, I would just go for a different person.”
Talking about her upcoming celebrity Boxstar match, AJ revealed that despite not knowing who her opponent is yet, she thinks she’s in with a strong chance of winning.
AJ explained: “I still have no idea who it is – but the way I’ve been training, I feel like I can take anyone on.
“I’ve never had a fight before I’ve always been more of a lover than a fighter, especially going from Love Island to a fighting ring. But at the moment I’m not scared, I’m buzzing and I’m ready to go and get in there really.”
The rescheduled event will take place on April 30th at London’s O2 Arena. For more info and tickets visit https://boxstar.uk/
