Love Island's Sam Bird marries Kailah Casillas after the pair eloped in ceremony abroad

Love Island star Sam Bird has married his fiancée Kailah Casillas after eloping in Gibraltar.

Sam shared the sweet announcement on his Instagram stories as he posted a sneak-peek from the wedding and captioned the clip: “The new Mr & Mrs Bird.”

He added: “The new Mr & Mrs Bird. Tied the knot in Gibratlar and vlogged the whole trip. Link in bio to watch!”

Kailah shared a snap to her own Instagram as she showed off a sneak-peek of the happy couple as they matched their outfits to one another.

Kailah opted for a square-neck white simple gown as she had a bouquet of dried flowers in one hand, while Sam donned a cream suit and the duo paired their look naturally.

Sam and Kailah announced that they’d wed in a private ceremony

Her brunette locks fell down past her shoulders in loose and bouncy waves while her sleeve of ink was on full display.

They confirmed the duo actually wed on March 3, writing in her post: “3.3.22. We eloped! I never dreamt of having a big wedding, so we decided to take a trip to Gibraltar and do it the most intimate way possible, just us. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you @samrobertbird.”

She added: “We vlogged the whole trip and it’s up on my YouTube channel if you want to see more of our amazing trip! Click the link in my bio to watch.”

One of Sam’s Love Island pals Laura Anderson jumped to show support, with the star writing: “Yayyy congratulations lovelies! Everything looks perfect just like both of you.”

Samira Mighty chirped: “Congratulations!”

While pal Josh Denzel simply shared a series of clapping emojis as he celebrated his pal’s happy news.

Sam first rose to fame on Love Island and after a difficult stint on the show, he ended up leaving the series with Georgia Steel.

They soon split after leaving the show and it seems Sam moved on happily and later started dating Kailah, with the pair confirming their relationship in January 2020.

In August of the same year Sam had popped the question and the duo announced their engagement as the star said he “put his eggs in one basket”.

After an engagement spanning just over 18 months, the duo jetted off solo to have their intimate ceremony and basked in the privacy of their happy news for almost two weeks before sharing updates with their fans.
