Famous actress and comedian Lucy Beaumont appeared on BBC show The Weakest Link – and after just one successful round, she headed home in round two.
With almost all fellow celebrities, including Tamzin Outhwaite and Jax Jones, voting in favour of Lucy heading home after failing to answer her question correctly.
As the celebrities gave their reasons, one of the fellow celebrities, Bianca, said she voted for Lucy because she “got a few questions wrong”.
Under her breath, Lucy said: “I got one wrong, but it’s fine,” which prompted Romesh Ranganathan to question what Lucy was thinking.
Lucy said: “I think they’re all bad people. I’m disappointed in everybody. Can you just not watch me while I walk off?”
Contestant Rav looked over at Lucy and laughed, suggesting that her comment was made in a lighthearted manner – but Lucy maintained her serious facial expressions.
Romesh told Lucy that he wouldn’t be watching her, with the actress adding: “That’s alright. If everyone just looks away.”
Although the celebrities do normally watch the celebrities walk off, Romesh asked everyone to look down while Lucy left the show.
As the set went red, the top of the stars’ heads could be seen on screen as they all listened along and stared at their feet.
In her private interview after her exit, Lucy said: “I either know it or I don’t. I think they should’ve kept me in another round.
“There’s very obtuse stuff that I know that nobody else will. But we don’t get to find that out.”
Viewers clearly saw her quips as amusing, with one person writing on Twitter: “Aww Lucy is out. She’s great.”
Another wrote: “I love Lucy!”
Lucy was the second person voted off on the show – but towards the final round, things certainly got serious as they were able to double their potential cash builder to £20,000.
Unfortunately, they didn’t quite manage to land the top prize.
In a tense final round, Matt successfully won the game and was able to take back £6,300 for mental health charity Mind.
