Roger E. Mosley’s daughter has confirmed the veteran actor has died aged 83.
The American star launched his career in The New Centurions in 1972 before going on to appear in programmes such as Magnum P.I. and The White Lions.
Sharing the heartbreaking news about his passing, his daughter, Ch-a Mosley took to Facebook, writing: “Roger E. Mosley, my father, your friend, your ‘coach Mosley’ your ‘TC’ from Magnum P.I., passed away at 1:17am.

“He was surrounded by family as he transcended peacefully.
“We could never mourn such an amazing man. He would HATE any crying done in his name. It is time to celebrate the legacy he left for us all. I love you daddy.
“You loved me too. My heart is heavy but I am strong. I will care for mommy, your love of almost 60 years. You raised me well and she is in good hands. Rest easy.”
Meanwhile, his friend Tina Andrews tweeted: “Sad day. My friend Roger E. Mosley, 83, who played ‘TC’ on Magnum P.I., has transitioned.
“He was surrounded by his family after suffering from a car crash this weekend. What a sweet man, and a fine actor who gave great parties.
“RIP, Roger. You were loved and shall be missed.”
Fans instantly flocked to social media to share their condolences with one writing: “RIP Roger E. Mosley, who provided the chopper whenever Magnum needed a lift.”
“RIP Roger E Mosley. He was great in Magnum P.I. I always thought T.C. was so cool,” wrote a second.
Before a third commented: “Hugs and prayers for you and your family. No tears, then… just fond memories of one of my favourite characters, and for the amazing father he must have been to have raised such an incredible, confident, talented, daughter!”
“Condolences to you and your family, sorry for your loss, sleep well Roger,” typed a fourth.
The actor appeared as helicopter pilot Theodore ‘T.C.’ Calvin in the US series for eight years, gracing viewers’ screens for 158 episodes of the hit programme.
He became a licensed helicopter pilot but was not allowed to film his own stunts during his Magnum P.I. days, instead, a pilot wearing a muscle suit was called in to film the daring scenes.
Despite not appearing in the recent remake of Magnum P.I. Roger made a cameo role in the show in 2018 and just one year before his death in 20121.
