Carol Wright has admitted she was “scared” to have cosmetic surgery in her 60s.
The reality star decided to go under the knife to help prevent back issues by having a boob job.
The 61-year-old is the mother of 36-year-old daughter Jess, 34-year-old son Mark, 32-year-old son Josh and 21-year-old daughter Natalya.
Carol revealed she had her boobs “emptied out” after having her first three children which later made her go under the knife for an enlargement.
Years after having the surgery she has become worried that her larger breasts might cause damage to her back and leave her with bad posture just like her own mother.
Speaking to the Loose Women panel Carol opened up about having surgery after hitting 60.
She said: “I did feel confident, but I just wanted to be more comfortable because they seemed to overweigh my body.
“I didn’t opt for these great big boobs that I had. I had them when I was younger after having three children and they just emptied out and I thought, ‘I need a little implant.’
“They lasted for so long and they were great, but all of a sudden I looked in the mirror one day and thought, ‘If I don’t go for this before I’m 60, I’ll never have the guts to do it.'”
Carol went on to explain to the ITV panel how she wants to “feel confident” when she looks in the mirror and decided: “If I don’t do it now, I’ll never do it.”
The star is soon to be a grandparent as her eldest daughter Jess and her son Josh are soon to both be parents.
She said: “I was embarrassed to let the children know but when I spoke to the girls, they agreed. All I was worried about was going under anaesthetic at such a late age. I was very scared.”
Mark her eldest son had an operation last year to remove a tumour that had grown under his arm prompting fears it could be cancer.
Carol addressed the reality stars cancer scare on the ITV daytime show, she said: “It’s been going on for a while now and we didn’t really worry about it because my husband has got the same lump but much smaller under his arms.
“So he used to say, ‘It’s the same sort of lump I’ve got, Mark.’ There’s nothing wrong with it.”
Mark has spoken out about his health battle after the lump started to grow which caused fears and led him have the operation to remove it.
Carol added: “I lay awake that night thinking, ‘My god, what would we do if it’s actually cancer?’ Thank god it wasn’t and it was successful, and it’s been cut out… It wasn’t cancerous. It was very big though, very big.”
