Meat Loaf's heartfelt final Facebook post exposed as legendary singer dies aged 74

Iconic singer and actor Meat Loaf sent a heartfelt final last message to his fans on Facebook – telling them to “stay safe” before he tragically passed away.

The Bat Out Of Hell star sadly died on Thursday night (January 20) with his wife Deborah by his side – his agent Michael Greene has announced.

However, the hitmaker wrote a final public post on Facebook back in November 2021 which has now been unearthed.

In the post, he confirmed that he was recording a new album, spoke about his TV show, and offered fans recordings on Cameo – a platform which allows stars to charge fans for personalised videos.

The rock god was born Marvin Lee Aday, but later changed his name to Michael.

Meat Loaf wrote: “YES KIDS IT’S TRUE…. I am back on Cameo for all of December and till January the 3rd. We start recording on the 5th.

“Hoping the TV show will start up in March. So come on to Cameo and book something for you, a great Friend, or anyone in your Family.”

Michael signed off by telling fans he ‘loved’ them, and that he wanted them to “stay safe”.

The singer finished: “Love You, God Bless, Be Well, and most of all Stay Safe. Meat”

Meat Loaf had previously revealed in November that he was returning to the studio with his band to record seven new songs for an upcoming album.

The record was also going to include live tracks from over the years -from shows in the 1960s up until the 2000s.

In 2020, he told The Mirror: “I’m not old. I’ve got songs for another record and I’m reading a script.”

The legendary rock star’s death was announced on Friday (January 21).

A statement post to Facebook read: “In a statement posted on Facebook, it read: “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side.

“Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours.

“His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including Fight Club, Focus, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Wayne’s World.

“We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man”

“We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls… don’t ever stop rocking!”

Meat Loaf was best known for his album Bat Out of Hell album which first released in 1977, which quickly became one of the bestselling records in history and later became a trilogy record.

He also starred in tons of famous films, such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
