Megan Barton Hanson has revealed she loved the sex with her first girlfriend but that things got “very catty”.
The Love Islander came out as bisexual in 2019, the year after she shot to fame as one of the singles looking for love on the reality show.
Opening up on Metro’s Smut Drop podcast, she shared that she has “so many toxic exes” and that she let her first girlfriend get away with more than she would have let a boyfriend get away with.
Megan, 27, said: “I think it’s because it was my first relationship with a woman and I definitely allowed way too much just because she was a woman, which I wouldn’t have allowed with guys.
“I would have nipped that straight in the bud.”
She went on: “I think because I was so wanting a female relationship and I loved the sex and I loved being with a woman and the dynamic of being with a woman but it just got very catty and very spicy.
“If a man ever said these spicy things to me he would be gone within an instant but because it was a girl I was like, I made exceptions because I liked the sex.”
“We’ve all done it, surely,” added the TV beauty.
During her time in the Love Island villa, Megan got close to Eyal Booker and later went on to have a romance with Wes Nelson.
The pair remained together after the series came to an end but went their separate ways in 2019.
The star, who used to be an exotic dancer, told The Sun when she came out three years ago that she first fell for a female at 16 but that it wasn’t really in a sexual way.
Blonde Megan, who is from Essex, also shared that she has had “deeper connections” with women than men.
“I just felt like I needed to get with a guy because society said so but after the s*** I’ve been through, I just want to see how it goes with a woman,” she said at the time.
