Tom Bower’s new book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors claims Meghan Markle wasn’t too trusting of Victoria Beckham.
According to the famous royal author, Victoria Beckham also found herself caught up in accusations regarding a press leaking scandal – seemingly much like Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy in recent times but without the court battle.
In the new publication, Tom claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had become “addicted” to the media – with the pair constantly reading stories about themselves.

This lead to the Sussexes speculating that there could well be a mole among their own inner circle, reported Us, with the royal pair obsessing over who it could be.
It is believed that Meghan confided to Harry that Victoria could well be an untrustworthy companion – claims that were thought to have been completely shot down by David Beckham.

In his new book, Bower writes: “Harry and Meghan were shackled. Every night they scoured the internet to read the newspaper reports and the trolls’ postings on social media. Irrationally, they grouped the two together and fed each other’s frenzy about the media.
“Convinced that as champions of goodness they were being persecuted by mendacity and racism, they felt victimised by the mildest criticism.”
He alleged it was the former Suits actress who first “suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion”.

The Mirror reported: “Harry’s instability fed Meghan’s fears that friends were leaking stories to the media.”
With the new publication claiming Meghan’s accusation led to a telephone conversation between Harry and David.
According to Bower: “Harry called David Beckham to repeat the accusation,” which outraged the Beckham’s and “damaged their relationship.”

It is unknown when the said conversation between Prince Harry and David actually took place but The Sun previously claimed in 2020 that David was quick to “put Harry right, and the two men agreed to move on—but it certainly made things awkward for a while.”
With The Mirror reporting an “awkward encounter” between Harry and David at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – suggesting that the full damage between them may not have been patched up completely.
