Former EastEnders’ actress turned parenting and body confidence influencer, Melissa Suffield, says that she is “acutely aware” that she isn’t plus-size.
The stunning blonde beauty, 29, who turns 30 on Christmas Eve, has made a name for herself in the realms of body positivity since departing Albert Square.
Under the name @the.confidentmama on Instagram, Melissa has built up a substantial following of more than 50,000 since leaving the soap in 2010.

Posting content that relates to body confidence and motherhood, Melissa is candid in her posts and often shares snaps of her “belly overhang” and her stretch marks.
But due to the nature of her content, Melissa’s content can often get mistaken for plus-size-themed posts.
Speaking to us earlier this year, the stunning former Lucy Beale star said: “I’m acutely aware of the fact that I’m actually not plus size,” adding: “I’m close,” with a chuckle.
“I’m always really conscious to not insert myself into a community that actually isn’t mine to be a part of.”
She explained it was “to make sure that I’m lifting up the creators that are a part of that community and not trying to take anything away from them”.
Melissa added that she is always “quite mindful” of the language that she uses, explaining it was “because I don’t want to be seen to be taking voices away from people who should have them more than I should”.
She added: “But I know what my voice is and my voice is speaking to that postpartum experience.”
Elsewhere in our chat, Melissa told us that cruel people troll her for dancing around in lingerie.
She said that she often gets messages that read: “You could just do your message without dancing around in your underwear.”
Telling us: “That’s what I get from women. A lot.”
