BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty didn’t appear too impressed as one report went very wrong on Friday’s programme (August 12).
Roving reporter Daniel Rosney was on location in Glasgow outside the OVO Hydro as the city puts in a bid to host the Eurovision Song Contest next year, after the honour was transferred to the UK.
Ukraine stormed to victory in 2022, but the ongoing conflict with Russia means hosting duties were passed down to second place.

But things quickly started going wrong, as Daniel forgot the name of a major star and mispronounced a song title.
In another blow, it turned out he was angled towards the wrong venue, too.
The OVO Hydro is beside the SEC Armadillo, both huge concert venues – but Daniel was standing in front of the Armadillo, not the Hydro.
Daniel kicked things off by saying: “Good morning. This is the site that could be hosting the world’s largest live music event next May. This arena behind me, you might remember from the Netflix film, the Eurovision: The Fire Sage starring Will… oh, I’ve forgot his name!
“He was in the… the massive Eurovision film that they filmed, actually, in Israel in 2019.”
He meant, of course, Will Ferrell.
But it didn’t end there, as he went on to give the wrong title of the hit Lulu song Boom Bang a Bang.
He continued: “Lulu, of course, is from here. She won in 1969, Boom Bang a Lang. And Glasgow is twinned with Turin, which of course is where the song contest was held three months ago.”
When things cut back to the studio, Naga was giggling with her co-host Charlie Stayt – though it might have just been a positive Friday feeling.

Unimpressed fans, meanwhile, turned out in force on social media to complain about the segment, with one writing: “OMG report on #Eurovision host city from #Glasgow on @BBCBreakfast – reporter stood in front of wrong venue, forgot Will Ferrell’s name and mispronounced Eurovision winner ‘Boom Bang-A-Bang’! Get it right!!”
Another echoed: “@BBCBreakfast Why have someone reporting on Eurovision who doesn’t even know that Lulu’s song was called Boom Bang A Bang, not Boom Bang A Lang. She is not a Bay City Roller. @DanielRosney should do some research.”
While a third fan commented: “What on earth was that report from Glasgow? Terrible. #BBCBreakfast.”
Later, fans were also baffled as the weather report was interrupted by shaky shots, with plenty wondering if the camera operator had lost their tripod.
One wondered: “@bbcweather Has the cameraman lost his tripod?! I’m getting dizzy here!!”
“Think someone forgot the tripod!” another echoed.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
