Grease star and generational icon Olivia Newton-John died yesterday (August 8) at the age of 73 after a 30-year cancer battle.
An outpour of tributes followed from fans and celebrities alike, including John Travolta, who said: “Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
He was not alone; Kylie Minogue paid homage to her “inspiration” along with all the fans that grew up watching the actress play Sandy in Grease.
The UK-born Australian-raised recording artist, who became a star in the US and all over the world, died at her ranch in California yesterday – confirmed by her husband and family last night.

Olivia Newton-John’s daughter is American singer Chloe Rose Lattanzi.
Last week, Chloe shared a post of herself and Olivia, arm in arm, just days before her mother’s death.
“I worship this woman. My mother. My best friend. @therealonj,” Chloe captioned the photo of them posing in a field.
Chloe’s father is Matt Lattanzi, an actor from the States who starred in Grease 2 and Catch Me If You Can.

Chloe Rose Lattanzi is a singer – her most streamed song on Spotify, Window In The Wall, is a duet with her mum.
When Chloe isn’t singing, she tends to her legal cannabis farm in Oregon.
According to Chloe, her mum inspired her to set up a legal marijuana project called Laughing Dog Farms.
The website describes the venture as a “family-owned and operated regenerative cannabis farm located in Canby, Oregon specializing in Bio Harmonically Grown Cannabis”.
The company is run by Chloe herself and her other half, James Driskill.
Since setting up the company, they have since expanded with a second farm in California.

Olivia and her husband, John Easterling (Lattanzi’s stepfather), had been incredibly supportive of the herbal project, especially since Easterling also worked in the cannabis industry.
Olivia Newton-John, who had been battling cancer since 1992, once said: “I’m very lucky to be married to a wonderful man who is a plant medicine man. Now he’s growing medicinal cannabis for me, and it just has been wonderful. It helps me in every area.”

When news broke of the singer and movie star’s death, Chloe paid an emotional tribute to her mother on Instagram.
She uploaded photos of the pair of them since Chloe was a child, through to adulthood – no words, just photos of a loving mother and daughter.
