Olivia Wilde has denied leaving Jason Sudeikis for Harry Styles.
The 38-year-old director began dating The Campaign star in 2011 and the pair got engaged two years later in 2013. Together they share two children, a son born in 2014 and a daughter born in 2016.
But in November of 2020 the pair decided to split and the filmmaker was publicly served with custody papers whilst she was giving a presentation about her new film at CinemaCon.

Olivia met Harry Styles on the set of her new film, Don’t Worry Darling, and the pair started dating whilst filming commenced and the pair were pictured together only two months after she first split from Jason.
But Olivia has now spoken out and denied there was any sort of overlap between the former Dunkirk star and the Ted Lasso actor.
She told Vanity Fair magazine: “The complete horses**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate, our relationship was over long before I met Harry.”
Olivia continued to explain: “Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic.”
However Olivia did confirm that both she and Jason still work together to co-parent their children, and they spent lockdown together to do that.
She explained: “We were raising two kids during lockdown, so we co-parented through that time. Once it became clear that cohabitating was no longer beneficial for the children, it became the responsible thing to not, because we could be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”
Olivia added: “I evolved a lot between when I was 27 and 35. I found myself as a director. And I think I found myself as an individual. And sometimes when you evolve, you evolve out of relationships that were based on an earlier version of yourself.”
