Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen confirmed why it is she doesn’t share pictures of her husband online after a fan asked to see a photo of the family together.
The Shepherdess reacted to comments after sharing a series of images of her younger children enjoying some downtime off the farm over the weekend as they marked the arrival of 2022.
Amanda, 47, uploaded the snaps and video clips to Twitter showing the family dressed in wet suits and wading out into Yorkshire Dales lake The Tarn.
She wrote: “On New Year’s Eve there was ripples and waves in the tarn. Plans were being made to dive straight into 2022 with a swim today, on New Year’s Day. “
The happy mum followed up with a range of other posts where she showed off her adventurous little ones, jokingly calling them “lots of wild things”.
She then added the hashtags: “#yorkshire #moorland #tarn #swim #NewYear2022 #wildswimming #outdoorswimming #bigskies.”
But when one fan questioned where husband Clive Owen was and asked to see a photo of the family patriarch she was quick to shoot down the suggestion.
Retweeting one of the pictures the social media user wrote: “Can we have a photo with Clive on please?”
Putting the subject to bed with one simple sentence Amanda responded: “Not if he doesn’t wish to be on social media.”
While Amanda is a keen social media user, regularly posting to both Twitter and Instagram to share updates of the countryside around their home, as well as images of animals on the farm and the couple’s nine children, Clive has a different outlook on things.
He prefers to remain private outside of their hit TV show and doesn’t have any social media accounts of his own.
Amanda previously spoke about Clive’s dislike for the apps when a different fan asked why she never included him in her updates.
At the time she explained: “He hates social media & the online news stuff and doesn’t want to be on it. That’s his choice.”
