Hollyoaks stars have rushed to support Owen Warner as he’s branded “fake” by I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! viewers.
The 23-year-old actor, who plays Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, is currently taking part in the gruelling ITV reality show.
He’s become one of the standout stars in the year’s series displaying a loveable and naive character.

However, some viewers have questioned whether the soap hunk is playing a part and being “fake” but his co-stars have rejected such claims.
Kirsty-Leigh Porter and Ruby O’Donnell spoke to Daily Star at the TV Choice Awards about Owen’s stint in the jungle.
Leela Lomax actress Kirsty-Leigh said: “Owen is in Owen’s world and it’s funny.”
Ruby, who plays Peri Lomax in Hollyoaks, added: “We know him very well so it’s the public getting to know him and he’s exactly like what like in the jungle in real-life. People are saying he’s putting it on, but he’s not.”
Jorgie Porter, who plays Owen’s on-screen girlfriend Theresa McQueen, has also shot down reports that Owen isn’t being genuine.
The actress told The Sun: “He really is that daft on set. He is so funny. What you’re seeing in the jungle is exactly who he is.
“He’s just so fun and young and believes anything, bless him. I’ve had a few people ask me if he’s putting it on but I can assure you he’s not.
“He doesn’t get upset if he doesn’t know something — he’s just open to learning, which is so endearing.”
It comes after Owen was left annoyed with his fellow campmate Matt Hancock after the controversial MP got a question wrong during Saturday’s (November 12) Bushtucker Trial.
He lashed out at Matt when the former Health Secretary got a question wrong as they took on a quiz-style trial called Who Wants To Look Silly On Air?
Owen had told Matt that he thought the answer was Mount Fuji as it is in Japan, which was directly north of the camp. However, Matt pressed Taj Mahal.

Owen snapped: “I thought you said it weren’t the Taj Mahal?” Hancock stuttered as he replied: “Cause I can’t see the question, I didn’t…”
The actor told him to stop making excuses: “No, don’t blame not seeing the question. Did you think it was furthest away? Ah, man, I could have told you that.”
The politician replied: “I know, I’m so sorry.”
