Paralympian Stef Reid thanks fans for loyal support after crushing Dancing on Ice exit

Stef Reid and her professional partner Andy Buchanan have thanked their loyal legion of fans for their continued support after shocking Dancing on Ice exit.

On Sunday night (March 6), the Paralympian found herself in the dreaded skate off against fellow Olympian Kye Whyte and his partner Tippy Packard on the ITV show.

But it was the BMX racer who the judges chose to send through to the semi-finals, much to the fury of ITV viewers online.

More than 24 hours after the pair were dumped from the show, the 37-year-old posed beside her skating partner as they shared a sweet clip on her Instagram Story thanking viewers for their continued support.

It appeared as though the pair filmed their thank you message after the show as the brunette beauty was seen in a neon pink coat as her partner donned a zip up blue jacket and a pair of black tracksuit pants.

Andy opened, saying: “Hey, I’d just like to say thank you to everybody who watch the show.

“It’s been an incredible and amazing run and I’m so proud of Steff for everything she did all her hard work and everything. Even last night, both her routines were so good.”

It was at this point that Stef added: “I’ve honestly had the absolute best time loved every moment. I don’t think I’ve laughed as much in the past few months or worked as hard and, yeah, it’s just been the best experience I’ve ever had.”

The pro skater chimed in with: “And thank you again to the crew, everybody who films us, catering, the backstage guys, Dan and Karen and everybody who makes the show happen.

“It was a really special year and I had a really special partner and thank you.”

Stef concluded with: “Aww I had a great partner too, and this genuinely is a show that, it just – it changes you and thank you to everybody who made it happen.”

It comes after viewers swarmed to Twitter to demand the a recount as they pleaded for Stef to make it to the semi-finals online.

One person said: “Doesn’t seem fair that Kye can perfect a routine about 6 times and Stef foes on the first time she performs her skate off routine #dancingonice.”

Another joked: “Kai survives his 50th dance off of the season #doi #dancingonice.”

A third person chimed in with: “These judges are definitely not watching what I’m watching #DancingOnIce.”
