He made the announcement as he co-hosted presenter Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio show on Wednesday (9 November).

Peter will start in December, and will apparently be the first artist to perform a monthly residency at the venue in North Greenwich.

The star has announced an O2 residency

It came after the star’s fans expressed disappointment over the fact he had not revealed any London dates.

When he announced his tour, Peter said he would play dates in Manchester and Birmingham this year, then next year places including Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Belfast.

While fans were thrilled to see the star making his comeback after five years and said it was “the best news”, many were disappointed that he wouldn’t be coming further south.

But, speaking on Zoe’s show, he said: “Of course I’m not going to not do London!”

He then confirmed that he would be at the O2 once a month.

Car Share star Peter was last scheduled to begin touring in 2018.

However, in December 2017 he suddenly cancelled all future work, including the tour, due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.

Fans could barely contain their excitement as the residency was announced.
