Peter Kay fans were left fuming as tickets for his comeback tour were unavailable after the website crashed moments after going live.
The comedian recently announced he was going back on tour following a five-year hiatus from the spotlight, giving his loyal fans just 24 hours notice before dropping tickets.
However, fans were quick to vent their frustrations after they headed to O2 Priority to get their hands on pre-sale tickets, only for it to crash a few minutes later.

This led to them sharing their outrage on social media one fumed: “Peter Kay has crashed the O2 Priority app and website and the tickets aren’t even on sale yet. Love ticket stress me.”
A second seething fan wrote: “Been like that since 9am I was logged in to my app this morning about half 8 it logged me out n asked me to request a code again but can’t get in it now absolute disgrace!!!!”
“Well that’s me leaving O2 network. Today. I’m not buying tickets for a stupid price all because O2 Cant keep a reliable service for it’s customers,” added another user.
While a fourth echoed: “O2 priority logged me out and now three+ keep logging me out every time I log back in. Gonna be a nightmare even trying to get Peter Kay tickets.”
Touching upon the outrage by fans, a spokesperson for Virgin Media O2 said they are trying their best to get the site up and running again.
They said: “We’ve seen unprecedented levels of visitors to our Priority platform for Peter Kay tickets. As a result, some customers are experiencing difficulties trying to use the app and website despite us putting additional resource in place to help cope with such demand.
“We apologise and we’re doing everything we can to get it back up and running as soon as possible.”
After announcing his comeback tour, the Farnworth-born star confirmed that he would be performing at the O2 in London once a month.
He made the announcement as he co-hosted presenter Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio show on Wednesday (9 November).
Peter will start in December and will apparently be the first artist to perform a monthly residency at the venue in North Greenwich.
