Piers Morgan has shared his thoughts on the recent school shooting which took place in Texas, US, leaving 21 people dead.
A gunman opened fire on May 24 before he ran into Robb Elementary School and continued to shoot.
Initial numbers suggested 14 children and one teacher were dead, with multiple injured, but since then the total has tragically risen.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves across the globe and has been at the forefront of discussions since the incident.
British journalist Piers Morgan, known for his controversial views and bold attitude, has previously expressed his distaste for gun culture over in the States.
Upon hearing the news, Morgan took to Twitter to post his thoughts on the chilling incident.
The 56-year-old said: “Absolutely horrendous. I don’t know what else to say about these endless US gun massacres. It’s for Americans to resolve, but where is the will?”
He continued: “Nothing was done after Sandy Hook to stop another school massacre like that happening again. It’s now happened again. School children being slaughtered in their classrooms should not be a political issue. Please, America, stop the partisan bulls*** and do something about it.”
The TalkTV presenter also retweeted some comments relating to the shooting.
Tennis player Andy Murray, who was a pupil at Dunblane Primary School, Scotland when Thomas Hamilton opened fire at a class in 1996, branded the killings as “madness”.
Piers responded: “As you know better than most. I don’t understand the lack of will to at least try to stop it happening.”
The Dunblane massacre remains one of the deadliest mass shootings in British history and two Firearms Acts were passed which outlawed the private ownership of most handguns in the UK.
US president Joe Biden addressed the shooting and asked the nation “when in God’s name they are going to stand up to the gun lobby”.
He also asked when “do they do what they all know in their guts needs to be done”.
Biden said the fact that “an 18-year-old can walk into a gun store and buy two assault weapons” was “wrong” and asked what someone would need one for, except to “kill someone”.
