Piers Morgan has revealed brand new merchandise for his new TV show Uncensored, but it wasn’t without a cheeky pop at US rapper Kanye West.
The former Good Morning Britain star took to Instagram on Thursday night (April 7) to show off one of his new items of merch.
The bold TV presenter, 57, is set to front his explosive new TalkTV show called Uncensored, which premieres April 25.
Piers said he aims to “put the world to rights” on his new primetime daily show, which will see him debate the current affairs in a brutally-honest way.
However it seems Piers has been promoting some new clothes ahead of the exciting TV show launch, because he shared a snap of NewsUK producer Lindsey Constantine, his co-star.
Glamorous Lindsey was sitting at her desk sporting a black cap which had “Piers Morgan: Uncensored” written on it, but she was looking rather serious in the snap.
She captioned the photo: “@piersmorganuncensored merch has landed” as she attached a laughing-face emoji.
Piers picked up on it immediately, and decided to claim that she should be more pleased to wear the gear as it’s “hotter” merch than Kanye West’s.
He quipped: “Well look a bit more cheerful about it… this is hotter merch than @kanyewest.”
It comes after Piers blasted Kanye for his treatment of his Pete Davidson, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend.
Writing in his New York Post column, Piers called Kanye a “d***head” and admitted to booing him at the Super Bowl back in February.
West had revealed he didn’t want Pete to see the four children he shares with Kim, branding Pete a “loser” and urging fans to “scream” at the comedian if they saw him on the street.
Morgan wrote: “The crowd, which had been raucously cheering every famous face that appeared on screen, suddenly began booing and jeering.
“I’m proud to admit I was one of them, because if anyone deserves such an outpouring of public disapproval right now, it’s surely this narcissistic, jumped-up buffoon.”
He went on to say: “Now, since their bitterly acrimonious break-up and vicious ongoing divorce battle, we’re seeing the full range of Kanye’s horribly selfish and frankly, vile character – and it stinks so pungently that a Super Bowl booing should be the least of his punishments.
“All of this is a perfect template in how not to behave when you’re getting divorced.”
The TV presenter said thought Kanye’s a “brilliant musician”, but he’d exposed himself as a “d***head”.
