Rebekah Vardy teases new work opportunities and says she won't bow out of public eye

Rebekah Vardy has opened up about the aftermath of her Wagatha Christie libel battle against Coleen Rooney, claiming that despite losing the court case, she will still remain in the public eye.

The wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, 40, has said that she has already received offers for work following the case and that she’s wanting to take on “meaningful” opportunities that are “inspiring” to her.

Speaking to TalkTV journalist Kate McCann in her first television interview since the case, she said: “I think for me, first and foremost is taking a breath, you know looking at all the opportunities that I’ve been given and then deciding what’s best for me to do.

“For me it’s really important to find something that inspires me and something that is meaningful and something that I really, really want to do.”

Kate asked if the impact of losing the case made her want to bow out of public life, Rebekah said: “I did go through stages of thinking that and then I thought, I don’t know, no, probably not, but you’ll probably see me doing things that are different.

“I can concentrate on my horses now and the kids and you know, rebuilding all that kind of lost time I’ve had dealing with all this stress and stuff and rechannelling and refocusing and putting my energies into doing positive things now.”

She went on to protest her innocence, claiming she feels “let down by the legal system”.

She said: “I will say that ’til I’m blue in the face. I did not do it.”

During the course of the interview, Becky reflected on the three years that passed since Coleen publicly accused her Instagram account of leaking her private stories.
