Rylan Clark has announced he’s set to release a new memoir called TEN: The decade that changed my future.
The Strictly’s It Takes Two host, 33, shared the exciting news to his 1.5million Instagram followers on Wednesday evening (March 23) after teasing his admirers about the milestone moment earlier in the day.
The beloved BBC radio star admitted he had “all the emotions” as he revealed the bare-all book, which will hit shelves in the autumn (September 29).
The book celebrates ten years of him being in this “crazy industry” of showbiz – which includes his rise to fame on The X Factor, presenting on ITV’s This Morning and fronting his own Radio 2 show.
The bestselling author even joked he “should have lasted ten minutes” and couldn’t believe he’s lasted a decade, but said he’s learned tons of lessons in his time.
Speaking to his fans, Rylan said: “TEN: The decade that changed my future. Wow. All the emotions. This book celebrates ten years of me being in this crazy industry. We all know I should have lasted ten minutes, so how I’ve lasted ten years, I’ll never know.
He went on: “Learned so many lessons, especially in the last year but it’s been a journey, and I can’t wait to share it with you very soon. You can pre-order your copy from the link in my bio and if you’re quick, you can also get yourself a signed copy from @waterstones ya lucky animals.
“And if audiobooks are a bit of you, you can pre-order the audiobook which will be read by, yes – yours truly.”
Signing off, he said: “Hitting the shelves on 29 September, can’t wait for you all to read it xx”
In a teaser clip for the book, a montage of Rylan’s famous TV moments could be seen dated with the years they happened, such as his iconic cry at Judges Houses on X Factor.
However, the year 2021 was met with dramatic music and no clip, suggesting the star will speak candidly about his split from his husband Dan, whom he separated from last year.
It comes after Rylan opened up to fans about being single in an emotional late-night tweet – nine months after he split from Dan.
He took to Twitter after enjoying a night out with pals, but he revealed he felt something was missing in his life.
He wrote: “Ever have a night out where u have a really good night with friends… However on the way home u sit and think, would much rather a night in with Netflix and someone u care about… yeah that babe.”
The TV presenter needed to take time away from work after his devastating split from Dan last year.
Rylan shot to fame on the ninth series of The X Factor back in 2012 – almost ten years ago.
