The star captioned the video: “NOT TODAY SATAN KILL ME NOWWWW.”
He could then be heard screaming: “Tried to touch it and now, it’s moving! It’s moving! Go the other way please. Oh my god what is this?”
The Celebrity Gogglebox star asked his followers if they had any tips on getting the creature out of his home he explained that “this is why you shouldn’t live alone”.
He also asked his followers: “Will it attack? Can somebody tell me will it attack?”
The snake is thought to be a grass snake, which are non venomous and don’t pose a threat to humans, but Rylan could be heard saying the animal “went at me” in the video.
The snake soon disappeared but Rylan was still left in fear as he didn’t know whether it had left his home.
He told his followers: “If I’m not here tomorrow then thank you Jesus for everything.”
The star admitted that he was still very scared and was googling every possible outcome.
He was left very confused and asked his followers if it was normal for a snake to be in a UK home.
He continued to record his messages throughout the night as he struggled to sleep, claiming he couldn’t stop thinking about where the animal could be.
This left viewers in hysterics and they took to social media to say that it was clear Rylan hadn’t signed up to this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!.
One user wrote: “I guess ITV can put you down as a no for @imacelebrity, then?”
But another thought it would make brilliant TV, replying: “Or a yes and put him in a viper pit for the first trial.”
Others however shared the former X Factor singer’s pain and admitted they would have reacted exactly the same.
However, one user cleared it up that the animal isn’t harmful, writing: “It looks scary but it’s just a grass snake and totally harmless. It’s probably thirsty and in need of a drink.
“They’re also great at catching mice and other pests.
“Now if it had a diamond pattern on its back, then you need to keep away and call someone.”
