Secret final line of iconic Come Dine with Me rant shared five years later

Come Dine With Me footage revealing the final line of an iconic rant has finally been revealed five years later.

A fan favourite moment from the Channel 4 series is when Peter Marsh came in fourth place in his series and told his fellow contestant that she had a ‘sad little life’.

However, Adam Mastroianni who was also in the episode said that the final line had been cut form the iconic Jane rant.

The TV gold moment took place back in 2016 when Peter, a salesman from Oxfordshire found out he’d come last and Jane had come in first place.

Come Dine with Me’s Peter wasn’t happy with coming fourth

But he didn’t take it well at all as he made sure to give everyone a piece of his mind when finding out the disappointing news.

Peter ranted: “Enjoy the money, I hope it makes you very happy. Dear lord, what a sad little life, Jane.”

Due to missing out on the cash prize of £1,000 he was very bitter towards the actual winner, despite thinking he should’ve won himself.

The final night was at Peter’s house so he read out the results as Jane, Charlotte and Adam sat on the sofa.

The other contestants were stunned into silence on the show

Finding out his fate, the salesman says: “In fourth place is me.”

Jake shook his head at the winner Jane when she asked why he was doing that.

He told Jane she’d won which is when he said she had a ‘sad little life’.

Peter added: “You ruined my night completely, so you could have the money.

“But I hope now you spend it on some lessons in grace and decorum, because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.”

Contestant Peter asked Jane to leave his house

He finished off his rant by telling the winners to get off his property before the other contestants congratulate Jane on her achievement.

However, Adam explained that during the clip he found it so ‘surreal’ that he couldn’t watch.

He told The Independent, Peter’s bitter sweet final line to him was cut from the programme.

Adam said: “His words to me at the end of his rant, which didn’t make the cut, were, ‘Adam… you’re very funny, your food wasn’t great, it’s been a pleasure.’
