Sheridan Smith 'ready to open her heart again' after heartbreaking split from old flame

Starstruck judge Sheridan Smith is reportedly ready to stick a toe back into the dating pool.

The path of true love has not run smooth for the Gavin And Stacey actress of late, with two break-ups in the past 12 months.

She split from fiancé Jamie Horn – the dad of her baby boy Billy – in the summer and her romance with her old flame Alex Lawler apparently ended earlier this year.

But according to Closer magazine, the 40-year-old is thinking about picking up the hunt for her Mr Right – and may want another baby in the future.

The actress and Alex have apparently split

“Sheridan’s been through hell over the last year but, after doing a lot of work on herself and getting back to the ‘old Sheridan’, she’s ready to open her heart to someone,” an insider told the publication.

The source said the Benidorm beauty is willing to try and get back out there and find her happily ever after because it’s the missing piece of the puzzle in her life.

Sheridan hopes she will find the man of her dreams, claimed the insider, “and even give Billy a sibling”.

The Four Lives actress dated insurance broker Jamie for three years from 2018, after they apparently both swiped right for each other on Tinder.

The pair were engaged and welcomed Billy in May 2020, but in July 2021 it was confirmed that they had called time on their romance.

Is Sheridan planning to start dating again?

Sheridan went on to rekindle an old relationship with former flame Alex, an actor and camera operator who she was romantically linked to more than two decades earlier.

However, they apparently went their separate ways in January.

A source told The Sun at the time that there was “no major drama” between the pair but that it had just “run its course”.
