Simon Cowell spotted with arm in colourful cast days after terrifying bike accident

Simon Cowell has been photographed days after he experienced a terrifying bicycle crash where he required the emergency services.

The 62-year-old music mogul was “lucky to be alive” after he was sent flying over the handlebars of his e-bike in his second horror crash in 18 months.

Since the incident, the entrepreneur has been snapped donning a grin and wearing a bright yellow cast as he’s been taking it easy over the last couple of days.

He was recently spotted with his fiancée Lauren Silverman as the pair left their West London house on Wednesday.

Simon gave a big thumbs-up and cheery wave as he left his home with him wearing a yellow aviator sunglasses, black mask and a black puffer jacket.

In one picture, Simon took a break on a wooden chair outside a pub with his cast on display — and son Eric, seven, joyfully doodling on it.

With pictures of Britain’s Got Talent host circulating on social media, the TV star has since been taking it easier after the tragic injury.

It’s Simon’s second accident in less than 18 months.

The tycoon was previously left with a broken back after another horror e-bike crash in Malibu in August 2020.

In the latest accident, the “blood-soaked” tycoon had been riding a Das Spitzing Evolution S-Pedelec bike.

The entrepreneur was reaching speeds of 20mph while not wearing a helmet and experienced a suspected concussion, facial cuts and a broken arm.

He was released from the hospital the same evening with a cast on his arm and has been ordered to rest up.

A source said: “Simon is lucky to be alive. He was pedaling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.”

Simon’s son Eric reportedly chose his dad’s cast and has drawn on their two dogs, Squiddly and Diddly.

The source said ‘Despite this being his second great escape, Simon insists he’s not ditching the bike – but he will start wearing a helmet.”
