Sky Sports star Charlotte Jackson plans acting career and hopes it's not midlife crisis

Sexy Charlotte Jackson is set to score a new career as an actress.

The Sky Sports News presenter has always dreamed of doing it, so she has had professional training and bagged herself an agent.

And it’s already paying off because she’s in talks for a string of roles.

It’s all down to TV comic Leigh Francis, because years ago she worked with the funnyman when she played a reporter in his flick Keith Lemon: The Movie.

And she loved it so much she has decided to pursue it as a career.

She told the Daily Star Sunday: “When I did the Keith Lemon film it really gave me a taste for acting. And then during the lockdown I finally did an acting course.

“I studied method acting and really enjoyed it. I worked really hard and got so much out of it. And I’ve now got an agent for my acting stuff.

“It’s something I always wanted to do when I was younger so to now be doing this is amazing. I’m really excited to be doing something new.”

Charlotte has been facing her fears by doing plenty of auditions and she’s been thrilled by how well they have gone.

The 43-year-old has even had talks with Netflix execs about starring in an upcoming drama for the streaming service.

She said: “I love looking at different roles and characters and doing tapes for auditions. I have been auditioning over the past few months for some exciting TV shows.

“And then I have had meetings with people from Netflix about one of their shows, too.”

Charlotte has a hectic family life with her hubby — former Wales manager Chris Coleman.

The pair have two kids and busy careers to contend with.

But she is determined not to let anything get in the way of her dream to be an actress.

She said: “Because I’m a bit older, I was quite nervous about going into acting. I didn’t know if there would be many opportunities for older ladies. But there are. I was quite surprised.

“This could be a mid-life crisis, but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do so I’m going for it.”

The good news for footie fans is Charlotte won’t be quitting her day job on Sky Sports News.

She said: “I’ll continue doing my presenting. I do have a lot on my plate, but I’m really enjoying it.

“There are lots of possibilities coming up. I’m excited for what is to come in 2022.”
