YouTube star Chunkz has set the record straight after having a penalty taken off him during Soccer Aid.
The YouTuber won the kick but had to give it up to reality star and Michelle Keegan’s husband Mark Wright – leaving viewers on social media outraged, as one ranted: “Justice for Chunkz!”
Another added: “Seriously f*** whoever stopped Chunkz taking that pen. Fuming!”
But in a video shared on Instagram at half time, he said: “I’m not having this storyline that I didn’t want the penalty.”
Shaking his finger he said: “I wanted it.”
“F*** that,” he added.
He took a deep breath before asking: “What’s up, people?”
Chunkz had won the kick for England during the first half of the game, but Mark then stepped up to take it.
The YouTuber seemed to laugh off the fact it had been taken from him, but viewers were unimpressed.
Many posted messages on Twitter saying that the online star had been “robbed”.
“Chunkz won the penalty & should have been allowed to take it,” one tweeted.
“Mark Wright taking Chunkz’ penalty broke my heart,” said another.
Someone else wrote: “Chunkz should have taken the penalty that he won.”
“They should have let Chunkz take that penalty,” tweeted another outraged viewer, while another person said it was “disgraceful”.
“Nnahhhhhhhh, I’d rather Chunkz have taken the penalty and missed,” said one irked fan.
One said they were “fuming”, adding: “Someone get a petition for @Chunkz to have a penalty.”
Footy ace David Beckham was at the game and said he wished Chunkz could have taken it, although it was up to the manager.
