Jesse Williams fans – and everyone else – went wild this week when footage of the star stripping totally nude on stage emerged.
The brief clip showed the Grey’s Anatomy actor serving up a full frontal in the production Take Me Out, which sees him making his Broadway debut.
It quickly went viral and triggered a huge amount of hilarious memes and GIFs.
And Twitter was flooded with comments from people saying how “hot” the actor was.
But Jesse isn’t the first star to bare all on stage, with plenty of celebs braving it over the years.
We have a look at a few more who have stripped off in the name of acting…
Daniel Radcliffe
Harry Potter star Daniel stunned his fans when he stripped off in Equus in 2007.
The actor found fame as a child star, and the millions of people who had seen him as the little boy wizard from the Potter movies just couldn’t get over his nude debut.
Speaking about it with The New York Times, Daniel said the nudity “never really was an issue”.
However, he did say he suffered from what he called Michelangelo’s David Effect when he was onstage.
“He wasn’t very well endowed, because he was fighting Goliath,” he said.
“There was very much of that effect. You tighten up like a hamster. The first time it happened, I turned around and went, ‘You know, there’s a thousand people here, and I don’t think even one of them would expect you to look your best in this situation’.”
Alfie Allen
Alfie followed in Dan’s footsteps by signing up for a production of Equus, which is about a psychiatrist who tries to treat a young man with a deep connection to horses.
The actor appeared in the role in 2008.
He later told The Talks that in some way he thought it was easier stripping naked on stage than in a movie.
“I know a lot of people say the other way around — but I’m actually more comfortable undressing in the theatre, on the stage,” he said.
Alfie, whose sister is singer Lily Allen and whose dad is actor Keith Allen, also said he thought that his character’s nudity was “totally relevant” to the play.
“It was needed in order to show how vulnerable my character was at that point in the play… So overall, it was actually kind of liberating,” he explained.
Gary Lucy
Hollyoaks star Gary has put in a long stint on the stage production of The Full Monty, which is based on the hit 1997 film.
The production sees the cast stripping off on stage, although cleverly used lights apparently do give them a bit of protection from the eyes of the audience.
In 2019 he said in an interview that you just get used to peeling off your clothes in front of the crowd.
“It’s just part of the show,” the Bury Times quoted the actor as saying.
“Everyone knows how the show ends. The first couple of times you do it, it is a bit daunting. But after a while, it just becomes second nature. Anyway, we’re all in it together.”
