Strictly Come Dancing is reportedly set to return to the iconic Blackpool Tower ballroom for the first time since 2019.
The move will be a “return to normal” for the BBC dancing competition, which usually airs from the Tower for one week per series.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic meant that Strictly stars were unable to travel to the Northern city for the annual tradition.

It’s believed that bosses are reportedly keen for the show to return there this year to mark the show’s 20th anniversary.
“Blackpool week is such an important part of Strictly and everyone was gutted not to be able to go for the last two years,” a source shared to The Sun about bosses’ plans for the upcoming series.
“The production team are working out the logistics but everyone is feeling really hopeful that the show will be able to return there for 2022. And the fact that it will reach the landmark 20th series makes it all the more important.”
The show will look a little bit different when it returns to our screens this autumn.
That’s because three household names have departed the show in the time off the air. First, we learned that Bruno Tonioli would be leaving the judging panel permanently, having missed the last two series.
Then, pro dancers Oti Mabuse and Aljaž Škorjanec confirmed they would be departing as well.
The upcoming series of the BBC show will mark its 20th anniversary and it’s been said that producers already have their their top targets.
The Queen’s granddaughter, Lady Louise Windsor, 18, and England world cup-winning rugby player Mike Tindall, 43, who is married to Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara are both thought to be on the radar.
