Strictly Come Dancing fans from up and down the country have been glued to their seats every Saturday night since the anniversary series hit the airwaves back in September.
This year, the BBC One ballroom competition welcomed four new professional dancers to the show, making it the biggest Strictly professional line-up to date.
Joining the show this year is Vito Coppola, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and none other than the Rhumba king, Carlos Gu following the departure of Oti Mabuse and Aljaž Škorjanec last year.

And it appears as though he has had a good run so far, as he prepares to wow the judges with his upcoming dance routine with his celebrity partner Molly Rainford on week eight of the long-standing show.
Now, Daily Star has taken a deep dive inside the life of the pro dancer as he battles it out for a spot in the grand final to get his hands on the infamous glitterball trophy.

He may be new to the glitz and glamour of Strictly, but Carlos certainly isn’t new to the world of ballroom, already boasting an estimated net worth of $3million – which is approximately £2.7million.
The 28-year-old has excelled in the field for a number of years and currently holds the title for the Chinese National Dance Champion in addition to being a multi-world semi-finalist.
As if that wasn’t enough, the TV star also came third in the German Open Championship and was the UK’s Amateur Latin Rising Star Runner Up in 2017 before he landed a spot on the BBC show.

As part of his career, the pro dancer is often seen travelling the world with his professional dance partner Susan Sun which he regularly shared with his loyal legion of adoring fans on social media.
The pro dancer has continued to remain tight-lipped about his love life, meaning it’s unclear whether or not the star is currently in a relationship or not.
He previously spoke about an intimate moment with host Claudia Winkleman during his first performance on the BBC show, where he cheekily grabbed the TV host and left her flustered before she screamed “I’m pregnant”.

Following the encounter, Carlos was forced to explain what was going through his head when he grabbed the 50-year-old presenter and left her feeling giddy after their on-air moment.
While on the spin-off show It Takes Two, Rylan Clark said: “We need to talk about Claudia” before replaying the clip which aired in front of millions on the weekend show.
Carlos replied: “Oh I loved that moment. When I talked to her about my favourite dance and she said ‘Rhumba is just standing’, I was like, ‘How dare you, let me bring you back to the Rhumba moves’.”

Rylan replied: “Well we were jealous! We were jealous! Honestly it was such a lovely moment to watch and we are so thrilled you are here.”
However, Carlos has briefly left the world of competing behind him as he embarks on his impressive Strictly journey which he couldn’t be happier about.
As he prepared to make his debut appearance on the primetime TV show, the dancer said: “I’m thrilled to join Strictly and very excited to get started. It’s a new chapter of my life and a new challenge as well. I’m absolutely ready to take on this journey and to shine.”

Despite only recently joining the Strictly cast, Carlos appears to have already formed strong friendships with many of his fellow pro dancers including Nancy Xu, Dianne Buswell, Johannes Radebe and Katya Jones.
As he thanks his followers for their continued support after announcing his new adventure, Katya replied: “We love you Carlos!!!!!!!! You are such a beautiful person and phenomenal dancer! I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”
Throughout the series, the TV hunk has shared a number of backstage snaps with his CBBC dance partner as well as a series of snaps of him with his co-stars on a wild group outing where he could be seen grinning from ear to ear as they posed for a picture together.
