Strictly's Matt Goss exits BBC show as fans fume over Kym Marsh dance-off

Matt Goss has become the third celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Bros singer, 54, was booted from the BBC ballroom on Sunday night (October 16) after all four judges decided to save former Corrie star Kym Marsh.

Matt and his pro dance partner Nadiya Bychkova were forced to face off against Kym and show pro Graziano Di Prima in the dreaded dance off.

They did their very best to wow the public and Strictly judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge, Shirley Ballas.

However, all four judges decided to save Kym and Graziano, who performed their Samba to Volare by Gipsy Kings.

Speaking to host Tess Daly about his exit, Matt said: “It’s an extraordinary experience, I have been in America for 25 years. Thank you judges for your candour, you’ve helped me in many ways, my posture – Anton, I am more aware of it.

“This lovely lady beside me, a world champion with all the patience. I am very honoured to have danced with you, and everyone who is still in, I love you guys, go smash it guys.”

Nadiya said of her pop star partner: “First I’m so grateful that I got to teach and dance with a music icon. But, more important than this, I got the privilege to get to know Matt, for who you really are.

“Not many people know you and you’re a beautiful soul, very kind human and a real gentleman.”

However, many fans on Twitter were left bitter as they felt Kym didn’t deserve to land into the dance off.

One fan wrote: “KYM!? EXCUSE ME!? HOW!?”

A second said: “Can’t believe Kym is in the bottom two. Thought she was great. Love her. Jayde and Tony should be in the bottom.”

A third commented: “Kym in the dance off, not fair xx”

Matt and Nadiya will join Rylan and Janette Manrara on Strictly It Takes Two on Monday October 10 at 6.30pm on BBC Two.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday October 22 at 6.40pm for its BBC 100 Special.
