Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis shares sweet unseen moment with Giovanni in NYE clip

The layers of fake tan and countless diamantes may have washed away, but Rose Ayling-Ellis has reassured fans that she won’t be forgetting her memorable Strictly Come Dancing experience any time soon.

It is more than two weeks since the EastEnders star and her professional dancer Giovanni Pernice lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy.

After the dancing duo fiercely fought their way through the 19th series of the BBC One dance competition, the pair gave a wild performance as the battled against finalists John Whaite and Johannes Rabede.

And the Manchester-born actress couldn’t help but relive the breath-taking moment over on social media as she rang in the new year with a touching message online.

The 27-year-old star took to Instagram to share a previously unseen moment of the winning couple behind-the-scenes on the show to thank her loyal legion of fans for their continued support over the past 12 months.

She penned: “Stay afraid but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.

“That definitely what 2021 did for me, the year of growth, discovery and surprises. I cannot wait to see what 2022 would bring.”

Alongside the poignant quote, the starlet shared a series of snaps with her friends and family including her boyfriend and on screen relatives Danny Dyer and Maddie Hill.

The post also included a sweet clip from the night of the Strictly final as the pair were beaming from ear to ear as they enjoyed a bottle of champagne after their success.

Rose and Giovanni were seen still dressed in their glamorous costumes as the blonde bombshell struggled to pop the bottle of fizz.

Offering a few words of support, the 31-year-old professional dancer cheered on his dance partner in the clip.

He said: “Pop it! Come on, you do it, you do it,” before he joked “I’m actually worried about this” as she twisted the bottle.

Luckily, the star pops the champagne as the drink spills all over their dressing room while they cheered in the background.
